![]() ![]() To get the link you want to link to, go to any individual record you want, in this case a Sales Order.ī.Ĝopy the URL and paste it into a text editorį. Whenever you pull data from a field into a formula, it needs to be enclosed in single quotes and pipes ‘|| Data goes here ||’ The whole formula must be enclosed in single quotes ‘ ’ To achieve the example above I have added an "a" tag with a link to a dynamic Sales Order Link. I covered this in a previous post on Highlighting Saved Searches (opens new window). In this example, I have a Custom Search portlet that is showing Item Fulfillment Records with a link to the Sales Order that was used to create the Item Fulfillment Record.Ī formula field in NetSuite can contain HTML tags. The trick lies in getting the formatting of the formula correct to make this work. Thankfully, NetSuite makes this pretty easy with a Formula(text) field. ![]() You can refer to SuiteScript 1.0 accordingly if you need.Sometimes, you may find yourself in a situation where you want to link out to another connected record in a Saved Search without having to drill down to the record and then to the Related Record. I have used SuietScript 2.0 in my sample code. Load Saved Search created already with selected id as filter If something is not happening using search.create(), try creating saved search on same search type and use search.load() and use that as search.load() doesn’t need any type parameter. So, here a simple suggestion to all who has similar issues: So risk of getting deleted will be reduced to somewhat. I recommend to use word like “(Used By Script)” or “(DO NOT DELETE)” in saved search name, so that if somebody will see that saved search, he will be able to understand, this saved search is used for some script. Then I created a saved search using Document type and loaded that search in my script as I have no other option. ![]() Not sure why Netsuite has that difference in Search.Type and Saved Search Type. Then I checked in Saved Search and Document type is available there. So below code was showing error Type Document is not a Valid type in Search. As I suggested above I always prefer to use search created in script rather than using a saved search.īut unfortunately I didn’t find any Search.Type for File/Document Type. While working on a requirement, I realized to add a search on File. Its always advised to avoid using saved searches in scripting as there may be a chance of getting deleted either knowingly/unknowingly.īut there are certain searches which are not included in Search.Type like below example: ![]()
